Artist Statement:
My work is a search for beauty and a response to nature. Although there are recognizable images that lend themselves to land and sea, the real essence lies in the symbolism of each work. The paintings, drawings and prints are visual diaries documenting memories and personal events. I sometimes recreate the rhythm and pattern found in in both music and in our urban setting. My work is continually evolving and changing. These personal diaries are at once real and imagined - quick glimpses of a journey that continues onward. I am always finding surprises in nature that take my breath away. They may have always been in my view, but somehow, they are new each time I see them!
