Artist Bio:
Currently, Jason Leinwand is exploring consciousness and meditation through a daily drawing practice entitled, Daily Fortunes. For almost 500 days, he has created an original, handmade 4"x6" drawing based on a fortune from a fortune cookie. He has been using his social media to document and display this practice. Jason believes that a daily focused rigor, blended with a goofy kitsch aesthetic will ultimately unlock the secrets of the universe, unleash powerful cosmic energy and bring us closer to the great UFO in the sky.

Jason is a visual artist and designer with an MFA in Studio Arts from NYU and a BA in Studio Arts from Wesleyan University. He is the Art Education Director of Puppetry in Practice, a not-for-profit arts agency based in Brooklyn College. Jason teaches animation, puppetry and mural painting to children ages 2-18. He is also an Adjunct Lecturer in the Early Childhood Arts Education Department in the School of Education at Brooklyn College. During the summers, Jason can be found directing the Children's Circus of Middletown in Connecticut, a 5-week circus arts program for 150+ youth performers with Oddfellows Playhouse.
