Artist Bio:
Fauvell holds a BFA from SUNY Binghamton and an MFA from The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
She is a 2018 receipiant of the Pollack Krasner Foundation Grant. In 2018 so far Kate has exhibited at Tabula Rasa Gallery and at BRIC. She had her first solo exhibition at Rush Gallery in 2016. In the last few years, she has also exhibited at Ground Floor Gallery; BRIC Art House; A.I.R. Gallery; Littlefield and LIU's Selena Gallery, and the Living Gallery all Brooklyn; Rush Arts Gallery, NY; and Washington Project for the Arts to name a few. In 2015 she was selected as the New York representative for Bombay Sapphire's Artisan Series, and her work was exhibited at Scope Art Fair at Art Basel.
Kate has held residencies at the Studios at Mass MoCA, Vermont Studio Center, in Troy at CAC Woodside and in Bern,Switzerland at PRGR with funding from the US Swiss Embassy.
Kate was selected to be in LMCC and Creative Capital's Artist's Summer Institute, Mass MOCA's Assets for Artists Program, LMCC's Basic Finance For Artist's and Creative Capital's Seven Elements of Strategic Marketing.
And Kate has also received grants from the Meyer Foundation, Rauchenberg Foundation and Change Inc and the Artist Fellowship. to name a few.

Artist Statement:
I create large scale photo based collages. I have spent the last few years photographing the cities I spend time in, mostly New York, archiving time and place. Often documenting the ever changing and the unnoticed. I use all the photographs I take to create these large scale photo collages.
