Artist Bio:
I am California Native and a first generation born Armenian-American woman, descendant from the Middle East, living and working in New York City. I have participated in Artist in the Marketplace at the Bronx Museum of the Arts 1999/2000, the LMCC World Views Residency Program 1999/2000, and have exhibited and sold my sculptures in in many states and in Armenia. My work was part of a presentation by Occupy Museums / Debt fair exhibit in the Whitney Biennial 2017. Currently a solo exhibition of my latest work, titled "Clairvoyant Dementia" is on view through November 5, 2017 at Auxiliary Projects, Brooklyn.

Artist Statement:
I create all encompassing installations that are evocative of issues of maternity, fashion and surrealism. Personal narrative manifests through process, form and content while i celebrate and mourn for the traditions i embrace and reject. Archetypes and myths, the cosmos and universal symbols emerge from anthropomorphic and theatrical experiences through objects and environments. The biology of interiors and exteriors are exposed internal and external dialogues on gender and culture. I combine the influences of my mentors while the narrative conversation of craft and love pervades and endures.
