Nancy Krinsky, was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where she studied painting and sculpture. She holds a BFA in painting from Pratt Institute. She also attended the Arts Student league. While living in Hawaii, she discovered kilnformed glass. So fascinated was she with the kilnforming process, that she set up her own glass studio. She continues to pursue her career as a glass artist. She has shown her work at UrbanGlass in Brooklyn, and was selected as a finalist in Bullseye Emerge 2018- Rising Talents in Kiln-glass.

Artist Statement:
Barnacles clinging to objects in seemingly preordained patterns, fishing lures tying themselves to a chain link fence with the help of the wind, polished surfaces formed via the action of the ocean. Beauty and order through randomness. Such natural occurrences influence the imagery in my work. My vessels begin with well-designed tiles with reactive glass elements. Although through experience and exact placement the outcome can be predicted, by design I like to leave a little bit to chance!
