Artist Bio:
I have been working with clay for sometime and have been working to create a space for this art form that I continue to return to. Born in Brooklyn, I first worked with clay in 5th grade and since then it has been a part of my life; digging buried wheels out of storage closets in high school and cutting pre-calculus to throw, spending late nights in the ceramic studio in college and now carving out time to create what ever I can.

Artist Statement:
I am one of those people that doesn't necessarily think of myself as an artist as much as I am a person that makes art. I'm working on continuing to develop my creative self and this was a good opportunity to push myself to participate in more events like this, rather than solely as an observer. I enjoy making functional pieces, especially kitchenware and planters. I would describe my work as rustic and earthy, but I do enjoy experimenting with different glazing techniques so my aesthetic does vary a bit. My ideas for design are also inspired by texture and textile.
