Artist Bio:
Stanley Greenberg is the author of "Invisible New York: The Hidden Infrastructure of the City", "Waterworks", "Under Construction", and "Time Machines". His next book, CODEX: New York, based on a walk of every block of Manhattan, will be out in Spring 2018 from Monacelli Press.

Greenberg has had solo shows at the Art Institute of Chicago and the MIT Museum, and been in group shows at the Whitney and Metropolitan Museums. He is the receipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, along with grants from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, NYSCA, NYFA and the Graham Foundation.

His new book, CODEX:New York, is based on a walk of every block of Manhattan. He has also walked the routes of all the city's water tunnels and photographed sequences from all of the city's elevated subway lines. Greenberg's next book will be a rephotographic survey of 150 sites where springs and wells once fed Manhattan and the Bronx.
