Artist Bio:
Lewin received her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2009) and her MFA from Hunter College (2016). She was recently a resident at Squeaky Wheel in Buffalo, NY and is currently an artist in residence at Trestle.

Artist Statement:
Lewin is currently working on two projects, Endemic: The_Marshall_Islands; a 3D scanned and animated archive of 35 species endemic to the Marshall Islands, that will be exhibited via holographic displays submerged in coral aquariums. And Nuclear Set; a video that will incorporate videogame landscapes of Bikini and Enewetak Atolls, author Jorge Luis Borges's Library of Babel, poet and WWII resistance fighter Rene Char, the founder of the Italian Futurist movement Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, and the early history of the United States' nuclear testing in the Marshall Islands, once known as the Pacific Proving Grounds.
